Every walk down the back alley stairs to Jimmy’s 43 carries with it a familiar chill of uncertainty.  Will the bar be in the same place?  Will it be empty or not unlike a 90s mosh pit?  With the cask be pumping or sadly hollow?  And what will be happening in the back performance area?  You just never know.  Some consistencies do exist, though.  (1)  The deer’s head eerily peering down at you.  (2)  The incredibly warm glow of the fresco walls  and (3)  The most eclectic selection of taps in New York City.   Not enough?  Did I mention that Jimmy’s was named by the New York Magazine as the NYC’s Best Bar with Good Food?  The Beerlord has never been within 4 blocks of Jimmy’s without dropping in and once you experience it, neither will you.
