Köln, Germany is known for two things. 1. That awesome church that survived the War. 2. Kölsh. The owner of Der Schwarze Kölner (Translation: The Black Kölner) left the church there and is trying to bring Kölsh here.  Yes, he has the standards – Gaffel & Reissdorf – but he also has the sumptuous Sünner Kölsh and is the only place in NYC that does.  He tempts his patrons with a line of other Kölsh bottles behind the bar and while they’re not available yet, it is a goal of his to bring them here.  Don’t like Kölsh?  He also has 16 taps and 28 bottles that make up the best German selection in New York.  ‘Nuff said
