Love it or hate it, there are times every New Yorker will end up in Times Square.  When you do, The Beerlord wants you to know that you have a choice beyond TGI Fridays and The Olive Garden.  On 43rd st between Broadway and 6th, hidden behind a garish barbeque  joint, lies an excellent Belgian Café.  Featuring 12 rotating taps and an ever-changing bottle selection, BXL is subtlety split into a long bar and dining area.  Moulle Frittes and the Hanger Steak are both excellent choices if you are looking to have a sit-down meal, but snacks are also available at the bar.  Bottom Line:  Don’t wait for the inevitable musical production of Blazing Saddles to head to Times Square, BXL is worth a trip of its own.
